Homelessness is one of the greatest concerns of our society. Nationwide studies have shown that a large percentage of the homelessness population consists of families with minor children. This group of homeless people is Break the Cycle Foundation's, particular concern. Adults are often negatively affect by homelessness but more so are the children. Homelessness impacts not only those caught in it tragedy, but can be the seed for the cycle of learned helplessness and generational welfare. BTCF, founded with the vision of aiding homeless couples and their dependent children, assists homeless families to move from homelessness and its depleting affects into independent, self-sufficient lifestyles. Break the Cycle Foundation is a start-up, non- profit, social service agency serving the Charleston and tri-county area.
